Paying for care
Paying for care is based on individual circumstances. We believe that everyone has the right to a high standard of care, and some people are able to receive contributions from their local authority. In summary, a local authority will contribute to the cost of care if an individual’s assets (their savings and the value of their home) amount to less than £23,000. There is a sliding scale of local authority contribution below this threshold.
We are happy to accept private or social services funded residents subject to full assessment of needs, and the approval of the social services prior to admission
In the event that a service user financial circumstances place them outside of the catagory for help with fees, eg. they have assets or property that is above the thresehold for claiming, but arrangements are made for social services to make payments for fees due to various reasons in the interum period until personal funds are available to pay direct, the full private fees will apply, and not at the lower rate available that are set by social services. This will mean that a topping up of the rate that social services pay is required and arrangements for this will be made and agreed at time of admission.
Weekly private fees start from approx £675.00 per week increasing along with individual care needs demands.
